Just some basic information.
I am testing Rhino8 and especially the new/better Cycle render features / speeds.
Speed increased significantly.
But it looks like that it comes wih some restrains compared to Rhino 7 Cycles renderer.
Alpha channel issues when saving PNG images. With Rhino7 the edges were sharp without any artifacts. With Rhino 8 there is no chance that I can save the images without artifacts on the edges.
You can clearly see the difference between those two versions. I tried to find settings for this issue but could find any.
There is a significant difference when you load a Rhino 7 file /scene in Rhino 8. The first impression is much darker materials oersaturated. After trying to with the Gamma values from 1- 1.8 etc… this became better, but not the same result as in Rhino7 . In both Rhino Versions I`ve used “Linear workflow” with Gamma 1. Why is there such a huge difference. See the pictures attached.

Gamma issue. Does your link mean that this could be a bug?
Regarding Alpha channel artefacts. This is the result when I use the PNG image. in Rhino Render window the alpah channel itself is fine, you can see that there is no artefact, it is clearly sharp and clear. but unfortunately I can not save the alpha channel alone to cover this artefacts.
Could this be a filtering issue or a new issue because in Rhino 8 Cycles Renderer makes it different ?
