Rhino 8/9WIP Mac OS 15.6.1 (24G90) spinning wheel every 30seconds or so

Every 30 seconds or maybe ever certain number of commands, the color wheel comes up for 5-15 seconds. I really don’t know why. I don’t think it’s autosave. It’s not a crazy huge file, no bad objects, maybe 20 materials. Any help would be massively appreciated!!!
