today rhino 8 updated to version 8 SR16 (8.16.25042.13001) and single click selection is bugged. The bug makes it impossible to work with commands that cannot window select like join curves etc.
Can i have a link for the previous version?
thank you
*edit after restart it seems the bug is gone.
Another thing to highlight is that when the selection was buggged there was an unusual gray preselection highlight of the curves i was trying to select. Is that rhino feature or VisualARQ, cause it might the cause of the selection mishap.
I wanted to join the curve parts 1-6 to one curve. Before the join command i select each curve to see if it is already joined or in parts. That’s where i noticed that some curves could not be selected at all with single click, only with crossing window and there was a preselect highlight of the curves my mouse was over to, which i did not even knew existed as a feature and thought was new with the update.
When using the join command the crossing window only curves could not be selected, since join works with explicit click selection.
The preselection highlight does not happen after restart, nor does the select bug, i dont know how to enable such preselect highlight feature if there is any.
Maybe it is part of VisualARQ, since the color of the preselect preview matched VisualARQ Grid and/or other help previews.
Hi @ng5_Alex this issue doesn’t seem related to VisualARQ. Just to be sure about that, can you disable VisualARQ and see if you can reproduce the problem?
Unfortunately i cannot reproduce the problem, since i don’t know how to enable the preselection preview, if there is any. Somehow after the update it was enabled.
Does Rhino or VIsualARQ have a preselection highlight feature, where without having anything selected, when you hover your mouse over a curve it is temporarily highlighted? and if yes how do i enable it.
