Rhino 8.11 will not start. Newest update

Hello, Scott,

I tried installing SR11 candidate - it won’t even start. And I cannot just install the SR 10 back as it wont let me without disabling the SR candidate option in update settings. For which I need to start Rhino… But it’s good to know the issue should be fixed in next release. This and several other issues fixed in previous updates were holding back on of my major sideprojects.

When do you expect SR11 to be officially released?

Even after unstalling SR11, installing SR10 and disabling SR candidates, Rhino is still offering me SR11 update. I don’t want to click “no” every time I close Rhino. This way, I would miss the regular updates. Is there some way to delete the “Downloaded: Version 8.11 …” from Rhino’s memory?

Please run systeminfo command in rhino and send the results here. We should see why 8.11 does not run correctly.

Lets try disabling the 3rd party plugin via File>Properties>Plugins

The video drivers are OK, but wouldn’t hurt to check for updates.

Actually, no, the NVidia drivers need to be from this year (2024). The most recent should be fine.

Hello, I finally managed to get to this. It helped, thank you!
