Rhino 7 with VSR Shape Modeling

Hi there in the development team,

there’ve been wishes for Rhino 6 to integrate VSR Tools.
I wonder how this is going.
Haven’t been using VSR long time since it’s not working with Rhino 5+6.
So I do not remember really all of its tools, but I’ve been using the tangency analyse during surface modeling very much. And the analyse of surface deviation.
All tools of VSR were great and made precise high quality surface modeling lot easier.

Even though Rhino is great for itself…

By the way… I couldn’t find a Rhino 7 Wishlist thread.

Hi -

To be absolutely sure you would probably have to ask Autodesk but it’s safe to assume that there won’t be a version for Rhino 6+.

Discussions about WIPs are in the Serengeti category - I’ve moved this thread.

Won’t happen. Vsr is a dead product for rhino and will not be included or available for v7.

Because of rights on software or similar probably?
No way to work around to create similar tools?
Autodesk is a real shit of company. Have not bought a new Autocad since 20012 and won’t do.
I don’t even know if they’re using the VSR tools at all.

Autodesk bought it, took their ball and went home…we can’t play anymore. Literally nothing we can do about it.

How about some tools to run V5 virtually inside V7 with Rhino.Inside and we can then run V5 commands (VSR!) in a V7 session, calling out V5 commands. Sort of like this:
