Rhino 7 speed spining round model - 6 seems faster

Hello - a test would be to open the file with the same sized viewport in each (6 and 7) and using the identical display mode - default shaded, say - and no floating toolbars, run textMaxSpeed.

does that mean that floating toolbars have a negative impact on viewport performance?

ok massive difference in time!

v6 = 27 secs & 3.6 FPS
v7 = 326 sec & .31 FPS

can someone please explain?
