Rhino 7/Grasshopper freezes when switching windows or view modes in Rhino

I am having frequent freezes/crashes when switching back and forth from the Grasshopper window to the Rhino 7 window. This also occurs especially when switching from Grasshopper to Rhino to change a view mode. Just changing view modes can also cause freezing even when trying to go from a working Rendered mode down to Wireframe. Switching from Rhino back to Grasshopper to make a change from a working, data intensive, operation to a much less data intensive one will cause crashes too.

The only way around it is to move very slowly and deliberately when switching windows and to save every time I make a change (hundreds of saves in a session).

Rhino 7, Windows, No crash reports generated.

Run the Rhino command SystemInfo and copy the results here.

Just a guess but what happens if you disconnect one monitor?

I’ll have to see if I can recreate it without the second monitor. What makes you think that might be the case and did you see anything in the system info that should be adjusted? It does seem like my latest series of crashes might have more to due with the GH plugin I’ve been using. However, I know I was having issues related specifically to switching view modes and windows even when not using this particular plugin.

Just speculation based on a vague recollection of someone previously having problems when using multiple monitors.

Thanks David. I’ll let you know if it continues to happen.

Did you see anything that looks off with the system info?
