Rhino 7 for Mac keeps crashing

I’m not sure what’s happening. The first crash happened when I switched to Artistic view for fun, so I assumed it just overloaded the computer. But now, the file will stay open for at most five minutes before crashing after I rotate around the model. My Rhino 7 is up to date, and I’m not sure what else to do.

Crash Report that it gave me:

Hi Darian -

When Rhino crashes, does the Rhino crash reporter also pop up, or only the macOS one?
In Rhino, please run the SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
-wim

These are just work arounds.

  1. Reboot the system Four days used to not be a lot of time. I worked on computers that were up for years with a reboot but these days where bugs are more acceptable rebooting can fix things.

  2. Do a disk repair in Disk Ultility.

  3. Make sure you have a good chunk of disk space available.

  4. import the contents of your Rhino file into a new file.

That was from the Rhino crash reporter. Here’s what I get from System Info:

If it were me, I’d do a PLIST reset:
https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/mac/resetprefs

The Intel Iris GPUs are poorly supported.
If this turns out to be an OpenGL driver crash, we’re at the mercy of Apple to fix them.

I see you’re running macOS Big Sur.
There is an 11.6.5 update that would be worth installing too.

@Darian_Bertrand
I do not see any recent crash reports from you.
When Rhino crashes, enter your email address and describe what you were attempting to do when Rhino crashed.
Sent it in, and let us know you sent one so we can goo look at it.

Pursuant to that, is there anything specific you can do in Rhino that is likely to cause a crash?
