Rhino 7 crashes instantly after opening

Hello,

I’m having a problem, whenever I want to open Rhino 7, it crashes after opening.
I see the loading screen, loading plugins, etc, but before I could open anything, it just crashes.

The last thing I opened was a point cloud, it crashed when I zoomed in on it.
I’ve attached the crash log, there are 3 files. Are the two others important?

RhinoDotNetCrash.txt (1.7 KB)

I would ask to update to the latest SRC of 7.4, but that won’t work at the moment, since you can’t get Rhino started.

Instead create the folder data under location %APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins\RhinoCycles (9bc28e9e-7a6c-4b8f-a0c6-3d05e02d1b97).

You can copy&paste that path including the percentage part in the location field of File Explorer.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks, I could get Rhino running again.

When I click on “Install Update”, this window pops up:

Any ideas?

Hmm, weird. I have not seen that on installing update - I do that regularly without problems.

Maybe just force-quit Rhino from the Task Manager this time?

I’ve got this problem too. I’ll open Rhino 7 and it’ll make my entire laptop blue screen almost instantly. I won’t be able to do anything (pan around or do any commands) and it’ll crash. Safe mode works, but regular mode is still not working for me.
