Rhino 7.23.22282.13001 is not opening large Rhino files

Hi,

I have updated my Rhino 7 to the latest version 7.23.22282.13001. Since then, I can no longer open my own larger Rhino files (250mb and above). I can open smaller files. Even Rhino in SafeMode was not successesfully. I already tried to disable all plugins and open the file in safe mode.

Thank you for your help!

The file I want to open is available at the following link:

Here are my system infos for my Windows:

I opened the file with Rhino 8 WIP and saved it as Rhino 7. Now I could open the file again with Rhino 7.

I would still like to understand where the problem comes from. Possibly I have a defective PlugIn?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Leonard -
That file opens here in Rhino 7 without problems. I see that it forces VisualARQ to be loaded when reading that file and I can’t see that plug-in in your SystemInfo from your Windows system.

Which version of Rhino were you running before you updated?

When you try to open that file, is that file located on your local hard drive or on some server or cloud service provider?
-wim

Hello Wim,
thanks for checking the file.

Visual Arq was installed, but I uninstalled it when I checked how to fix the problem.

Before that I was using 7.19.

I tried both directories, from GDrive and from local disk.

Leonard

Hi Leonard -

If you revert to 7.19, does that file open correctly then?
-wim

yes, without any problems
