Rhino 6 window stuck minimized

Hi,

Have a strange issue that is happening with both my work and personal computers when using rhino 6.

Since I have updated Rhino, my Rhino window now sometimes get stuck minimized in the windows tool bar. If hover over the Rhino 6 icon in my tool bar and select the model I want to work on it briefly appears before then hearing the windows error (ding) and the window disappears. I can not get back into that session, the only way is to close it and open it again.

Very frustrating, anyone else coming across this?

I just noticed this warning is showing in the command line when the issue starts…

04:00 [1] | WARN | Could not claim hotkeys. Another CAD process is unresponsive.

Hello -

Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

@dale or @stevebaer: How does Rhino know it’s another CAD process?

Could it be that you have another instance of Rhino running (or actually NOT running)? A check of task manager should show you what else is running and provide a way to end any applications that are not responding.

I’m waiting to see what SystemInfo reports. This doesn’t look like a message that core Rhino would create.

Maybe Enscape?

Will update it and see if that helps, good suggestion!

@Helvetosaur’s suggestion seems like the best place to start

I’m experiencing both of these issues as well.

I disabled Enscape last night and the error message " WARN | Could not claim hotkeys. Another CAD process is unresponsive." goes away.

As for Rhinos getting stuck minimized: Hold down Shift + Ctrl and right click on the Rhino icon on your taskbar and choose “restore all windows”. this solves the problem for me. However, I’ve found myself repeating this a few times per day this week. I’m not sure if this is a Windows thing or a McNeel thing.

Thanks for the quick fix! Ive started a thread on Enscape as im now experiencing it with Revit also, so seems like it could be that?
