My rhino is running slow in shaded mode. It freezes for a few seconds after every action - even just moving an object. This started happening not too long ago and I have no clue what it could be.

Well, you can run SystemInfo and post the results here. Check your video drivers is the first thing.

So yeah your video driver is a bit out of date, it needs to be kept up for the more advanced OpenGL usage in Rhino 6 to keep working along with Windows and Rhino updates. Also check that your Rhino and Windows are up-to-date.

Updating the video driver? You just go to [nvidia.com](http://nvidia.com) and download it there.

What SR of Rhino are you running? That would also be in the SystemInfo box.

In Rhino Options \> Plug-ins, change the filter to Plug-ins that do not ship with Rhino.
Disable all of them.
Close Rhino and restart.

Does this help with the slowness you described?

One is 2560 x 1600, second is 3840 x 2160

Also, the plug in showing under that is “thea render” which is the renderer i am using currently. Would that disable it?

</div>

Yes.
This is a test to try to determine what the problem is.

After disabling Thea and restarting Rhino, does that fix the performance?
If yes, then turn it back on and restart again.

Does the slowness come back, if yes, then you have isolated the cause.
