Rhino 6 reading Rhino 7 Files

Yes, my guess is that there are no great format changes. Since I can perfectly visualise the preview of the Rhino 7 file when I have only 6 installed. So it can indead read the file. It is just prevented from opening it. I might be wrong. Can’t verify the difference. Or maybe there exists a limitation, which I don’t know of.

Then I don’t see why for us, the paying users, and especially those who upgraded to Rhino 6 late, there should not be an access to online file converter. Linked to our accounts. Even SketchUp has that trough the warehouse. I just gave you thousands, and if I have to resort to evaluation versions and so on when my partners and clients send me a later version file, until I make my return on investment and/or the new Rhino version is advanced enough so I have the incentive to migrate… I don’t feel very nice about it, if you know what I mean…

Well, it appears I just made a jumble of this topic. If we need to revisit this, let’s start a new one.
