Rhino 6 on a Lenovo T420

Hello Rhinos,

I installed Rhino on my “old” Laptop. I just use rhino with grasshopper to learn visual pragramming. I do more Dynamo and Python!

But the grafical interface it doesn`t work(look at the pics). I can not create something in realtime, even unable to move the grid.

I have Windows 10, Is there a kind of hardware accelaration? Or have I “update” my grafic-Card?

Or runs rhino 6 just on perfect Hardware?

I am happy about any help!

You should definitely try to update the drivers for your NVIDIA NVS 4200M - you can find those here:

Also check if there are new drivers available for your Intel HD 3000.
Additionally, you are running an older SR of Rhino 6 - please update that one as well.

Thank very much, but under the link there is no driver any more for this Card, even i did not find for the Intel®. I Installed also Rhino 5, And i have the same problems… If you have any other advice it would be nice

I did have this problem also in Dynamostudio and i resolved it. Just to reduce the viewdetails:

Is there something similar in Rhino, to minimize details?

Something like that “Geometry Working Range” in Rhino would be the document tolerances but that won’t help at all with the display issues that you are having.

It looks like your hardware is about 8 years old now and that might be pushing it for Rhino.
I see that there is an updated general driver with support for the NVIDIA GPU that you have here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/137614/en-us

That’s probably worth a shot.

CC: @stevebaer any ideas?
