Rhino 6 freezes every 3-5 minutes for 1 minute

Hey Forum,

I have a very frustrating Problem currently, i just activated my new Rhino 6 license and switched from Rhino 5 to Rhino 6.
Every 3-5 minutes my screen freezes and is not responding for approx. 1 minute.
After that everything works perfectly fine until the next 3-5 minutes have passed, then everything starts again…

Thanks in advance!

Hi Sebastian,

Can you try to update Rhino: Help -> check for updates
Are you up to date, if not update first, this issue has been fixed in a service release if I’m not mistaken.

Let us know if this does not fix it.

-Willem

Hey Willem,

Yes I am up to date.
I just installed yesterday, btw i have a collegue that has exactly the same issue that i have.
We are using the software commercially on our company laptops, maybe it has something to do with that?

Thanks,
Basti

Hi,

Can you set the Update frequency to Service Release Candidates
This will get the latest SR with the possible fix.
After the update you can set it back to Service Release because those are typically more stable.

I’m not sure how to help you further, we have to wait for someone else to chime in @pascal most likely knows what other steps you could take.

Please report back with your progress.

Also maybe try to update this GPU driver as well.
