Rhino 5 Layouts: Using the Hide Objects Command

Hello. I have a multi page drawing set done in Layout. I have several detail views throughout the set of plans. When I use the Hide Object command on a component within a detail view on Page 3, that same component hides in the detail view on Page One. I don’t want that to happen. Is there a way to make the Hide Object command only affect the detail view I want it to? Or is this impossible? (Just to specify, I am not talking about the Layers palette, where one can show or hide a specific layer).
