Have you tried the 8.12 release candidate? We did find a case that needed to be fixed based on input from another user. If 8.12 is still not working for you, we’ll need to spend time digging into your specific problem.
Running 8.12 here, installed yesterday. No change with a Container for the Popup, I’m afraid:
Even if I “nail” the Popup and resize it, the MMB Popup still gives me this. I’ve even tried changing the proportions (buttons wide x high), saving, closing and restarting but it makes no difference.
This is what I’d like to see:
It’s the chevrons thing that appears on the incorrectly proportioned toolbar that’s the killer. The buttons that cascade from it don’t carry the (custom) functions that I’ve assigned to the missing buttons so getting to the command I want is very long-winded. I’ve got to the point where I nail the Popup to the screen and just drag it around, a lot of the time. It’s less grief. Is there anything in the registry that can be cleared in an effort to get Rhino to learn a new behaviour?

@Gijs can you help investigate this? I don’t think I have a good grasp on all of the steps involved to repeat this bug.

@Gijs you only reported the sizing problem
there is also a
- change position of button
- delete a button
- customise the button
Changes get lost after closing and opening the button but with no real pattern of when it will happen.

RH-84035 Changes don’t stick in custom popup
I suspect this is all related. In my testing, the changes do stick, but require a restart of Rhino. Changes to macros do work on my end.
