Hi Simon -
Please post a 3dm file. I have no idea what I’m looking at in those images.

Shure, youre right. here it is.
In this file at the layout “seite 1” i can’t switch of a layer in the lower detailwindow while in the upper one it stays
in V7 it was easy ( picture one [V7] is the wanted result).
sometimes in this scenario I use the following- HideInDetail, or, ShowInDetail
(there are also HideLayersInDetail, and, ShowLayersInDetail)
the above seem to work ok in your file for me, hth
Hi Simon -
I’m not seeing much of a difference between Rhino 7 and Rhino 8 here.
You activate a detail and then turn off the correct lightbulb.
In Rhino 7:
In Rhino 8:
The big difference is that, in Rhino 8, you can turn off a layer for model space and have it on for layout space. From you description, you are using the “global” lightbulb in Rhino 8 instead of the layout/detail specific lightbulb.

Thats it.
i’ve never scrolled back so far in the layeroption
Thaks a lot
Hi @SimonT,
The Layers panel saves two sets of column states: one for working in model views and one for working in layout/detail views. So, you can turn on/off the columns you most use in what view you are working in. Columns can also be moved for convenience. All this can prevent scrolling.
