I cannot open the context menu from a floating toolbar. Is this a bug ?

I don’t think it is. The four horizontal dots you are clicking on in your clip (thank you btw!) are the gripper you would use to re-dock the floating toolbar. Perhaps we have a semantics problem here. Are you expecting that left-clicking those four horizontal dots will bring up a context menu? I suspect that’s what’s going on here.
Typically, if there is a context menu, we’ll usually use a gear-like button to signify this.
Maybe a misunderstanding … I got this answer from Pascal
and i think i remember clicking those dots some time and got the context menu ?
If that is wrong, how do I get it then ?
This answer is from some earlier post i made, where I didnt yet understand, that the menu / list system in RH7 Mac now has been replaced by a “pallet / button” system in RH8, unison to both Mac and PC.
First I thought It was the Windows UI version, that now was the Mac version, and that Mac version just simply was omitted without warning. I has taken me a while to get it, that there is a whole other, more longsighted strategy behind this move, but I had to pick it up from from reading bits and pieces in the forum, because i couldnt find a specific manual or instruction on either the overall choice, or all these little details, how to work with the RH8 UI… Its a lot to deal with all of a sudden, working with Rhino professionally every day, and its really time consuming to have to go through this kind og documentation and posting, to get someones attention and help. So i apologize for my previous very frustrated posts, about the many fine qualities from Rhino Mac UI being ditched.
Most of my frustrations have been about the lack of information, combined with the uncertainty of not knowing what is bugs, and what is a specific design choices…
Communication is the best medicine, so it really is cool to finally get some constructive dialogue and help.
Hi again
I found out, that I just had to right-click on the top bar
I guess i may have dismissed it, thinking it was the context menu you get from not selecting anything… well, in my defense they do look a lot similar when you are stressed out and irritated
I like the list mode , with text and icons… so now i changed the Boolean toolbar…
woops, a very long list it made !
Im sure I saw that Gijs de Zwart logged it somewhere … something about the separator lines are the culprit ?
