In Revolve Output was set to SubD. Set it to Surface and the revolved surface follows the curve.
Command: Revolve
Select curves to revolve
Select curves to revolve. Press Enter when done
Start of revolve axis
End of revolve axis (Press Enter to use CPlane z-axis direction)
Start angle <0> ( Output=Surface DeleteInput=No FullCircle AskForStartAngle=Yes SplitAtTangents=No Deformable=Yes PointCount=10 Degree=3 )
Revolution angle <360> ( Output=Surface DeleteInput=No FullCircle SplitAtTangents=No Deformable=Yes PointCount=10 Degree=3 )
