Hello,
I have created using RIR a nested Structural Framing Family.
Steps:
-
Start from a Generic Model Template family, change type to Structural Framing (Let’s call this Host Family)
-
Import a Framing Family into the Host Family and Push via RIR a bunch a beams. (the blue circular extrusion is just for reference)
- Import the Host Family into the Project file.
- Once in the project environment the Framing will go wild and the framings will not be visible on plan. The beams do show up in the schedule though.
Anyone able to help?
thanks in advance…

There must be something related to the Steel Family.
If I use a concrete one it works fine…
not sure what it is..

Nested Line based Shared Structural Framings seem not to work once loaded into a project.
@MSAwan have you ever faced this issue before?
Thanks in advance

@SA12 No I haven’t. Are you using the Revit Families or have you created this using the family template.

@SA12 you can also try line based family.

I would need to keep them as structural framing.
Curved beams are even worse, they get somehow flatten to linear elements..
Mystery..
