Revit crashes when Rhino inside Revit loaded Python node in Dynamo

Hello everyone, I’m fairly new to Rhino, so I’m currently experimenting with Grasshopper via Rhino.Inside Revit. Because of that, I’m still using Dynamo in Revit as well to compare both workflows.

Since installing Rhino.Inside Revit, the Python node in Dynamo has stopped working. Whenever I try to open the Python node, Revit crashes and I get a Rhino.Inside Revit crash error.

If I disable Rhino.Inside Revit through the Revit Add-ins Manager, Dynamo and the Python node work normally again. I’m wondering if this is a known issue and whether a fix is planned.

Versions:

  • Revit 2025.4
  • Dynamo 3.3.0
  • Rhino.Inside Revit 1.32.9327.20567

Hi Min fu Cheng,

I haven’t seen this conflict before. Do you have Revit Addin that use specific versions of python, such as HoneyBee or Pollination?

I do have pyRevit installed, but the issue only occurs when Rhino.Inside Revit is enabled, the Python node in Dynamo works normally again as soon as I disable RiR in Revit.

Not seeing the problem in a fairly default environment. What issue are you trying to solve (by having both open)
