Restore layer visibility in detail after layer deletion (Rhino 7)

I´ve set up several layouts containing details that show and hide specific layers. In order to reset my workflow I need to remove all objects by deleting all my layers. After deletion the details on the layouts have “forgotten” which layer to show and which one to hide. Therefore I have to go trough every layer of every detail and re-reset the visibility. Rhino 8 does remember layer visibility? But I´m still on 7.

Is there a way to keep the layer visibility?

hi @paul.metzger, fyi, Rhino 8 has separate settings for layer visibility in layouts which allow you to make layers in layouts visible that are hidden in model view. I suspect that will help in your workflow.
