RESHAPE17 | Wearable Technology Competition: Programmable Skins

(Bob McNeel) #1

Wearables are becoming an active, supplemental skin that not only protects our body but also aids functions such as growth, movement, respiration, and nutrition.

By becoming a new medium that can regulate the relationship between our body and its surroundings, wearables can now collect and exchange information to produce dynamic output. Reshape aims to enhance this output in fashion design, proposing a new challenge to makers and designers: RESHAPE17 | Programmable Skins Competition.

For the 2017 edition, Reshape is collaborating with IN(3D)USTRY - From needs to solutions. This event is organized by Fira Barcelona to foster the use and adoption of Additive & Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. By sharing success stories and technological needs and limitations, Reshape promotes the interaction between top users with manufacturers and service providers

Included in this occasion:

  • Reshape Awards ceremony, celebrating the winners from the competition
  • Reshape Symposium with cutting-edge speakers representing innovative companies, presenting their practices
  • Reshape Exhibition, showcasing innovative products and projects revolutionizing the fields of fashion and design
