Request > space bar in GH

Superb. Thankyou

So, this fix could be considered?

I don’t like this new behaviour. I very much prefer the old one where more than one option was available under hitting the space bar (baking!).
How can I get it back? Is is optional?

Yes you can get it back, see my earlier post in this discussion:

Also note that Ctrl+Space still brings up the radial menu.

Is it possible to bring it as an option in menu without messing in xml file?

Nope.

I’m not getting the radial menu by using Ctrl + Space. Is this option removed in the current Rhino 6? The radial menu was one of my favorites…

Ctrl + Middle mouse button brings back the radial menu. I find a new space bar shortcut more efficient on my second thought. I guess I’ll give it a try.

If you wish to use new Ctrl+Space shortcut, install most rescent SR4 Release Candidate…

Thanks Hyungsoo! Good to see you again here.

MmmKay.

So that is one thing that I do not see here.

Type %APPDATA% the location field of your Windows Explorer

Hi @DavidRutten,
Thank you for sharing this trick.
I was wondering, is there a similar way to disable the generation of relays when double-clicking on a wire? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice feature and thank you for implementing it, but unfortunately it interferes with component searching actions when the def is spaghetti-dense-like. Now it makes me think that this is why you switched the search action from double-click to the spacebar  . Unfortunately I think I am gonna keep my old habits…

Correction: Middle mouse button alone brings the radial menu without holding Ctrl key.

Set up a new laptop workstation and I’m once again here with the settings struggle… I don’t like double clicking so my middle mouse button executes a double left click. Now I have to agree spacebar for create makes sense because you’re going to type anyway. Looks like I will have to retire my brain

What I would like to see one day is full keyboard access.
I know it is a massive ask but it would speed up the workflow incredibly.
I kinda dislike contextual menus. They can look super fancy but they really aren’t productivity’s best friend.
Grafting/Flattening through right-click+F and right-click+G is pretty convenient but the system sort of fails when you have to release the mouse to type with your right hand to press arrows or enter.
Would be super cool to type away and have your components auto-wire-up.
Yes I know super complicated but is it something you could consider?

thank you!

No more typing into the Rhino command line by mistake!
