Request: Rhino.UI.Controls.Slider Rhino 9 Style to Rhino 8

Hi McNeelies,

The Rhino.UI.Controls.Slider seems like a perfect functional fit for writing custom Grasshopper remote control panels (i.e. it works natively with float/negative domains and has a value handle/dragger one can double click to set the value). It would be nice to set the styling a bit though (e.g. colors, stroke weights, font, height, corner radius), but if that’s not possible it would be great if you could make the Rhino 8 styling the same as in Rhino 9 (i.e. not as tall and much less bombastic left side color):

Rhino 8:

Rhino 9:

(And yes, I will absolutely start learning Eto Drawables. But all in good time and such  )

Thanks and best,

Anders

Ps. It would be awesome if you exposed more of your custom Rhino Eto controls in RhinoCommon!

We will not port back the color changes to 8. This is all part of the huge UI cleanup I’ve been working on for Rhino 9 and is still ongoing as we speak.

I guess the slider code is mature enough that we could expose it, what do you think @maxsoder?

No worries, thanks for the reply @Gijs. I’ll continue my Eto learning/RCP coding in Rhino 9 as soon as the Grasshopper slider lag issue is solved. Loving your big UI cleanup :folded_hands:

Yes, these are not yet exposed, but I do not see a reason why not to expose them.

RH-99069 Slider. Expose more settings

That would be fantastic, thanks Max!
