Request link for previous Rhino 8 release

Hello,

The latest update (8.25.25328.11001, dated 2025-11-24) seems to cause issues with some functions of a well-known plugin (V-Ray). I have already informed Chaos support about the problem.

I also tested with the three previous versions of the plugin and the issue persists.

I am now looking for an installer for the previous Rhino 8 version (the one just before the last update), in order to determine the correct settings and restore functionality.

I am currently running version 8.25.25328.11001 (2025-11-24).

Is such a file available?

I described the issue in this way to Chaos. If you need any files i can can sent it to you.

“It Seems that last update of Rhino or Vray has produced a problem.

All improvements wof Scatter elements are VERY appreciated but i just discovered an Issue (it makes much problem on several works right now). You will find attached one of those,

- 1 When a final render is lauched: scatter objects get inviisble and not calculated (except those applied on curves hosts).

- 2 When a interactive render is lauched. all works correctly

(Initially I thought this may be due to the location of the external assets files used, but This problem still occurs when i repath archive and repath all assets on the desktop).

You will find attached my Rhino File, and in a separated folder all the external assets.

Does someone have an idea ?”

I just sent two files in 2 times normally

  • one is the rhino file
  • the other is the vray assets folder

Well I m very sorry because now, even without installing the previous version of Rhino it seems the if finally works again!

The behaviour is the following:

most of my scatter hosts are usually on Hidden layers. Since last version of Vray (or rhino). Even if a scatter preview is visible on rhino viewport, if the scatter Host is hidden (layer off) the scatter guests will not be rendered (or only in interactive render)…

So … i think i solved my problem… will warn Chaos about this
