REQUEST. Faster Thumbnails for Named Views (or no thumbnails option)

Hi Again,

I have a file with several Named Views, around 50, for example, and the file is already quite heavy in terms of materials, textures, etc.

I find it a little annoying that every time I open the file, the thumbnails of the Named Views are recalculated. This can take maybe a minute, especially if I happen to pen that panel while working in a Rendered viewport.

Anyway, I would like to suggest an optional checkbox or toggle behavior where you could choose whether the thumbnails of the Named Views should be updated, or decide not to update them (and simply keep the existing thumbnails.. or even no thumbnail at all and just having my good naming system would help).

Maybe a third option could be to update the thumbnails using a Shaded viewport, or another very low-memory/low-resource display mode.

It’s a simple thing, but saving that minute every time I open that panel would really help me avoid getting distracted from my workflow.
