Rendering a textile

Hi there,
I have come a long way with Rendering in Rhino 8. But I have not been able to render this checkered fabric. I have tired as a material adding a texture, and importing as a texture and not a fabric. Cannot seem to get it to appear anywhere in the rendering. Nothing. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks in advance.

I had to add a separate file from my original file, as it was too large. So I could not set all the lighting exactly as I had it.

SAMPLE RENDER.3dm (12.0 MB)

explode your couch once…it’s a block.

once you make it a regular object it renders fine.

Thank you Kyle. Will try. Love to get advice from the master. None of my textiles are rendering.
Will try to explode.

@pascal retired… so you are stuck with just me…

it has something to do with your block and how it was set up, or more likely there could be a bug with rendering blocks. either way, exploding into a regular object (mesh or surface) get’s it rolling again.

Pascal, you are definitely a genius, I have watched you solve some gnarly problems. But Kyle does those flash renderings, like wow. Thank you both, problem solved, I can now render my fabric and textiles. Helps sell my parametric piece in copper.

Thank you again,
Fran
