Rendered view quality

Hello everyone

Recently, I’ve been trying to screenshot the rendered view for a presentation, but I noticed that the surface of geometries in the rendered view look panelized instead of smooth. It’s not a model issue because this happens equally with Sub-D geometries, trimmed surfaces, and extrusions.

It’s not a problem with the assigned material either.

There is an option in Rhino Options → Cycles → Viewport Resolution Sharpness with a slider, but it is set to “Pixel Perfect”.

Does anyone know how to set a smoother preview of surfaces?
Thanks in advance for your help.

This setting has no bearing on surface quality in Rendered mode. It is only about pixel resolution in Raytraced.

Share the 3dm file here for further investigation.

I would try finer mesh settings as quick workaround.

Make sure Flat Shade isn’t turned on.
