Rendered image worse diamond quality than rendered view

Please tell me why the stones look better on raytraced preview.

The two methods are based on different technology and tools.

The “Rhino render” is not intended to be photo realistic. It is intended to convey design intent and has been around in Rhino for years.

The “Raytraced” viewport uses the Cycles rendering engine and gets closer to photo realism. It was introduced into Rhino as of V6.

The plan is for Rhino V7 to replace the older Rhino Render technology with
Cycles based tools.

also as a general rule if the surround touches and intersects the diamond or shares the same space (boolean difference) then that will also muck up the render.needs a space between stone and metal. xxx
