Same as Sbontly or same as mwinkelstein??
I have the same problem.
Hi - could you please describe the problem?
Beste Wim,
I make a lot of screenshots in renderend mode to show my clients
Sometimes half of my textures turn black and i have to restart the program to get the textures back.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Jacob-Jan

Hi @JJOostwoud,
This sounds like a different problem to me… Here’s why…
That to me sounds like you’re using something like ViewCaptureToClipboard or ViewCaptureToFile to grab a “screenshot” … which means you’re only seeing this problem when you capture the viewport, and not while using the viewport… Is that correct?
Most everyone here are experiencing textures dropping from the viewport while they’re working. If that’s what you’re also seeing then ok… But when I read your post, it sounds like it’s only happening when making “screenshots”… Which leads me to my next question…
How are you making screenshots? And what resolutions are you using?
-Jeff
Hello Jef,
Thank jou for your time!
i am experiencing textures dropping from the viewport while i am working. So
not only when i make screenshots.

Ok thanks…just making sure…
If you are ever able to come up with repeatable patterns or examples that cause this problem, please do not hesitate to post them here.
Thanks again,
-Jeff
I think i solved it, used the V-Ray Next for Rhino, hotfix 1. I had no problems the last 3 hours.
I’m still looking for a solution that doesnt require a 3rd party plugin. Please let us know when this may be possible. Thanks!
Since it’s not repeatable… is it probably a hardware issue?
Thanks for the update, Jacob-Jan!

Hi @sbontly - note that JJOostwoud’s problem was most likely not the same as what you are experiencing. The 3rd party plugin he was using was outdated and a new version fixed that problem.
At any rate, I’ve gone back through this thread now and it is not clear exactly which steps you are talking and which problem(s) you are seeing. For example, the following screenshot doesn’t really tell me anything:
Is the black background in the viewport in that image a problem or a display setting?
Please reset the factory-default display modes back to their defaults by clicking the Restore Defaults button for any display mode that shows with blue text in the list.
If you can reproduce an issue, please provide a 3dm file and clear instructions on how to reproduce it.

I believe the text does not match with the image. The image is showing one scenario while that specific text is explaining another. Sorry if I did not make that clear. The image is showing a black background to show the edge of the surface more clearly. The glitch does not change the background of the display mode. It either displaces the texture map in both the x and y axis or it turns black, the surface, not the background.
I will have a bit of time before I can test the scenario in the latest build with the default settings. But I will let you know how it goes.
same problem here- loosing textures after a while when working with large textures - have disabled vray - but in running Enscape in latest version
Hi - can you take Enscape out of the equation and still see this issue?
