Render Post Effect Cause Wierd Tie-Dyed Looking Orange Background

When I create a render and include Post Effects (for Annotations specifically, but it does occur with others), I get a totally crazy orange, solarized looking background.

This is supposed to be a blueprint-type grid. You can kind of see it along the left and right sides and you can barely make out the grid. If I toggle off the Annotation Post Effect, then everything looks great (except my annotations are missing, of course).

I’ve tried a number of options but nothing seems to be resolving the issue and I really need annotations in the rendering. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

This is a shot in the dark, but it might be, that the background picture is CMYK? If that is the case, try changing it to RGB instead. CMYK has a tendency to act really weird in Rhino… or not work at all.
