Why, in 2026, do I have to remember to disable this with every SaveAs?
It should simply not exist anywhere unless you explicitly dig in to the Advanced options.
The “use compression” option (which doesn’t seem to actually compress much) is also a niche troubleshooting thing that has no business cluttering up that dialog either.
There are valid cases for having render meshes part of the 3dm, like importing into other software where the process relies on those render meshes.
That’s a niche of a niche case. I haven’t wanted to save them this century. Having to uncheck that box every time I see that dialog box is obnoxious.
Well the argument there is to make this setting sticky between sessions…
I want to be able to go into “Advanced Options” and make it go away.
In the WIP that’s what it’s called…someone edited the category the post lol.

I still don’t see why just having it sticky as checked or unchecked doesn’t solve the problem…
