When I generate a texture using the heightfield command, I’d like to view the part in rendered mode without the original image overlayed on top. Is there a way to remove the original image?
Hello- there is a material assigned to the object with the image as texture - if you assign the default or layer material it will look ‘neutral’.
You can avoid it altogether with this setting:
-Pascal
Thanks Pascal, that worked perfectly!
I’m also trying to determine the optimal number of sample points to choose, as most 3D print services cannot process files much larger than 150MG, and I’ve been creating 400MG files with the hope of achieving the maximum level of surface detail. If the printer has a max resolution of .5mm, what is a reasonable number of sample points per inch to choose? .1mm? Is there some formula I should use?
