Remove chosen items from Gumball selection

Hi!
I used ctrl + shift + alt and painted from upper left corner to lower right corner. This I made in shaded (or ghosted) mode. It chose items behind the part and I don’t want to gumball those…

How to remove surfaces from the selection without loosing all the chosen active surfaces corners etc…?

Thanks

Hi Wagner -

Use Shift+Ctrl and click on the items you want to remove from the selection.

Note: the selection method you used will also select edges and vertices, and it might get cumbersome to remove everything from the selection. You can use SelectionFilterFaces to make a selection with the mouse without having to use keyboard keys and only end up with faces. You can then remove single faces with the Ctrl key. Remember to turn off the selection filter when you don’t need it anymore (``SelectionFilterNone).

Did not try yet all the tips you gave me.

Use Shift+Ctrl and click on the items you want to remove from the selection.

This is how it looks when ctrl+shift+alt

Then I pressed ctrl + shift and surface I don’t want to take with and it added one more (top surface) to the selection. It did not remove…
I’ll check the other options asap…
