Remote logout?

Logged in at a old work PC, they somehow logged back into mine and it’s disrupting my work at my new place so immediate help for remote logout will be much appreciated. I do not have access to my old work place…

Hi -

So, basically, someone has stolen your license and you know who the person is? Have you told them to stop doing that?

At any rate…
My advice in this scenario would be…

  1. change your account password
  2. set up 2FA
  3. remove the license from Cloud Zoo and re-add

I asked my former colleague and he claimed that it was an accidental login. Unfortunately, this intern has apparently “accidentally logged in” to my account a total of 5 times a day while I am doing work. The last time I changed a password, it didn’t force logout all my devices. Can I confirm that this will be the case now?

Hi -

Did you also remove the license from the Cloud Zoo?

I have left myself logged in to my machine in the home office, now I can’t use Rhino in our head office, silly me! Is there a way to log me out of the machine at home so I can use Rhino on my office machine ? @wim @brian any way to do this ? tia

Hi Miles -

If you have your license in the Cloud Zoo, you should be asked if you want to use that on your office machine. I only see a Rhino 6 WIP license in your Cloud Zoo, so I don’t know how you are set up. For licensing issues, it’s best to contact tech@mcneel.com directly.

I have licenses connected to 2 email addresses, if you look me up under this user name you will see the 7 & 8 licenses, they are in the CloudZoo, do I click the logout ?

Hi Miles -

Well… The short answer is no.
This looks rather messy, though. You have a single Rhino 8 license in your personal Cloud Zoo, and a single Rhino 7 license in your team Cloud Zoo. Both are connected to the “other” eMail address. There is only a single user in the team. From your screenshot, it looks like Rhino is trying to get a license from the team. When team licenses are used up, there is no way to release them, other than that the user that is using is exits Rhino. Else, colleagues in an organization with a shortage of licenses would be kicking each other out of Rhino perpetually. When you only have a personal Cloud Zoo, that’s not the case and you are asked if you want to use the license somewhere else. I’m not sure why Rhino decides to only try the team and why you have two licenses, two Cloud Zoos and only a single user. I’d contact tech or use the chat function on the web site to get help with this. The people that are on the other end deal with such all day, every day…

all sorted :+1: (long story over having 2 emails linked to my rhino licenses)
