Now that I finally have my hands on Rhino 7, I was really looking forward to using the Refittrim, however it turns out this tool does not include the trim command itself. Instead, it requires an additional click for selecting the untrimmed edge (and an additional refittrim operation, but this can be chained together with trim in a macro).
Alias’ equivalent tool to what I was hoping refittrim to be is “Trimconvert”. Trim convert does as much as trimming and refitting the trimmed surface in one operation. For sure, Rhino’s should have a trimrefit command, where the user only has to do the trimming. The tool should be able to find the trimmed edge, which is the opposite edge of the edge coincident with two CV’s or in other words the edge with no coincident CV’s.
