I’m self taught so i know I’m missing tips and tricks. Are there classes / video / tutorials for best practices of making lines and shape i know are truly 90. I’m making complex fiberglass parts and need to use the part’s geometry to create other geometry and parts.
How can I do that without getting stacked dimension or doubling the time it takes me to complete a part. Every line I make I have to check, then double check, then triple check then still end up with something like this.
yes that can be confusing the issue is that when you have your dimension settings way too precise. i believe the only way to avoid this is to lower the dimension settings to less commas. or lower the tolerance. you dont have to worry though the geometry will be within tolerance, it just looks weird if you have the dimensions that extreme
Generally, we recommend that all features in the objects that you make are one order of magnitude bigger than what the tolerance is set to. Creating dimensions that measure anything below the file tolerances does not make sense.
