Reduce the colour impact of an environment

Hi there,

I have added this HDR Texture to a basic environment. I am happy with how it looks but its projecting a blue hue on to the meshes of the model. Is there a way to stop this?

When you use it also as the skylight environment it will give the lighting as well. Lots of blue sky, so blue hue is to be expected. Use a different environment for the skylight, say the default studio environment from Rhino. And keep your own environment only as 360 env background. You may want to pick a different environment for reflection as well.

Thanks much appreciated

Hi @Louis9
If you want to use that specific environment (eg. because of lighting direction, intensity or other), but want to either soften the colour impact or remove it all together, you can simply go to the Environment tab, select the HDRi and go all the way to the bottom and look for “Saturation”. Turn it down to decrease the amount of colour or all the way to 0 for no colour at all.
