I downloaded these stone walls from Sketchfab, but the file size is really large. When I try to reduce the mesh, the texture mapping becomes distorted. I also exploded the model so I could move some of the individual stones around, but when I join them back together the texture mapping gets messed up again.
I’ve also tried using Mesh Boolean Union, but the objects just disappear when I do this.
I am quite new to rhino. Does anyone know how I might fix this or work around it? I’ve attached some images for reference. Thanks!

The file is 9Gb. I only have 64Gb on this system and it maxes out when I try to open it. I hit Esc and it did open, but I have no idea if it is complete, image below.
You mention you are new to Rhino, what other apps have you used for this type of work? You may need to optimize this outside of Rhino to be able to use it in Rhino.
EDIT One possibility is that you create completely new geometry for the stone walls and apply new texture maps as well as displacement mapping. That will take a lot of time, but it could be faster than optimizing the existing model.
