Read File component error

Yesterday I updated to the new Windows 11 beta, today I’m getting the following error on a Read File component:

  1. Before Solution exception:Method not found: ‘Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.SyntaxTree Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.VisualBasic.VisualBasicSyntaxTree.ParseText(System.String, Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.VisualBasic.VisualBasicParseOptions, System.String, System.Text.Encoding, System.Collections.Immutable.ImmutableDictionary`2<System.String,Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.ReportDiagnostic>, System.Threading.CancellationToken)’.

  2. There is no valid parser available.

Is that a brand new Read File component, or is that error you get when trying to read a file?

It’s the error I get when trying to read a file. The same script worked yesterday, no changes.

I have the same issue. Was also working fine yesterday.

Also switched to Win11 since yesterday?

There was an update, but i was already using Win11 before.

I should clarify: I was already using Windows 11 Beta, and yesterday there was an update to the beta.

Thanks for the info. I don’t have Win11 myself, but I’m going to find someone else at mcneel who does and who can figure this out.

@DavidRutten I just wanted to let you know that this seems to have sorted itself out this morning.

Oddly, I’m not seeing an update to either Rhino or Windows.

FYI, I also had a C# script that was also giving me errors starting last week, and now it has also self-healed.
