It turns out this post on the Windows forum identifies a problem only present with Va enabled in my project. If I disable Va, transparency renders correctly.

It’s happening in the file I uploaded a link to earlier today regarding the issue of Va view modes deactivating.

I am testing it but it’s looks fine here. I am not sure if you see it wrong in an specific view…

It works at this end now too. One explanation could be that disabling va (and closing/reopening) fixed the problem even for subsequent Va sessions.
