Random points connection on a structure

Hi all,

Since two days i having some difficulties to have points on the centre of the ribs (see screenshot attached in pdf) which need to be connected randomly with tension cables.
Also i have attached my script to have a better understanding of how i got there.
All the fixation points on the ribs need to be random and aligned on the centre of the ribs.
Any help in terms of the principle are welcome.
