Hello everyone, I searched in this forum but didn’t find the answers, so what I would like to know is if a laptop with Radeon Vega 8 is capable to run Rhino 7.
I pretend to expand memory to 16gb, but I am afraid to buy the laptop and it won’t open rhino. It would serve to model simple things such as architectural survey of apartments, small areas, etc… Is it possible?
The laptop is Ideapad Ryzen 5-5500U, 8GB, 256GB SSD, 15.6 Full HD 82MFS00100
Well I mean it’ll be better than Intel Integrated video.

It’s not great, it doesn’t meet minimum specs, but it will likely work.
I saw in the rhino minimum specs that the GPU need to support OPENGL 4.1 and vega 8 support OPENGL 4.6… am I missing something?

Here it’s compared to a GTX 1050. So will it run Rhino? Probably yes. Will it run well? Probably no! It’s 5 years old, uses shared RAM and even at launch it was a mediocre card.
