R9 hangs when isolating objects

Rhino 9 hangs when isolating objects, can take a minute or shorter or a bit longer , has nothing to do with the size of the file working with sometimes it hangs sometimes not can not pinpoint it why

or the size of the isolating objects does not matter a few lines hangs it

Are you experiencing this when using Grasshopper?

no just simple drawing with a few surfaces

I’m afraid that’s not something that I’m seeing here. If you can find out what triggers it, please let us know. In the meanwhile, please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here so that we can at least make sure there are no simple suggestions to make.

Is the PC more suited to run Rhino? The GPU in the laptop is not something that we can recommend to be using for Rhino.

Do things change when you use the default Direct3D pipeline instead of OpenGL?

yes R9 becomes incredible slow .. but i just tried again and , not so slow, so something is better as before , but still hangs when isolate

i do not get it a file that did not show hanging same parts isolate now hangs …so very hard to say what it exact is

Rhino 9 hangs when isolating objects

I’ve experienced the same on my PC, I haven’t had the time to log this issue.
(Ryzen 3900X + 5070 Ti up-to-date Win11 and Rhino 9 build. Rhino 8 works fine.)

I’ve added an Alias (HH) to ! _Invert _Hide which is effectively isolating the selection, Rhino does not hang using this method.

will try that thanks yes 8 works ok
