# R8: Layer panel docked bottom unable to move

Layer panel was mysteriously docked between Viewports and Grid snap command line. Now stuck, unable to move. Grabbing its top bar - no way. Any idea?

Hi Ingemar - like this?

You should be able to click and drag from the left edge to undock…?  
Make sure `ToolbarLock` is not on.
