Question About RebuildEdges and Tiny Surface Gaps

@Gijs When I run RebuildEdges, as shown in this example, I notice that in the area I’m zooming into the surfaces no longer touch. The gap is extremely small, but if I want to eliminate it—for example by using MatchSrf—it doesn’t seem to work for such tiny distances. Is there a setting I should change?
Are there any recommended solutions for cases like this that don’t involve manually moving the surface with control points?

RebuildEdges recovers the original surface edges within the set tolerance. Edges that appear to have no gaps can be a result of joining within tolerance, or from a forced Join out of tolerance.
There is no other way to fix this than actually moving the surfaces / edges. How did those surfaces get created?

This is a file I downloaded from another user here, @DM9. I’m not sure how it was created or whether it came from Rhino or another CAD program.

I noticed that area from “GEC”.

In the end, I rebuilt that surface. If you turn on the control points, you can see that they’re part of a larger surface. After fixing the defective area (even though it was a very small one), the BlendSrf I created afterwards came out much better.
