Still very much getting up to speed. I have an object I imported in dxf format. It imported okay. I wanted the bottom corner of the object to be at x,y,z (0,0,0). Used the move cmd with Rtn, Rtn, 0 and it was moved where I wanted. But I was surprised when I go to any of the other std views top, front or right. The object is not at the origin. Shouldn’t all the other views track after the Perspective view?
Maybe “Zoom Extents All Viewport” can solve the problem?
RMB on the Zoom Extents icon
edit: reading better your message probably I didn’t understood correctly…
You mean that you move the object from a point (Osnapping on one corner) to 0,0,0 and the object moved only in the active view?
Can you upload a file or some capture screen?
Now I’m really bewildered. I did a move cmd in the Perspective view again and the second time around it looks like what I was expecting. Hmm, not sure why it didn’t work the first time or what I did to make it work the second time.
Could be that an Auto Cplane was active and after the command (when you unselected the objects) it resetted to the standard one?
Well, if it happened only one time and now it’s working as expected I think it’s very difficult to understand…
