Quality Model for 3D Modles

Hi,
I am new to Rhinoscript in Python and I am trying to implement a quality model checking in Rhino. Our 3D models that we use for finite elements analysis (FEA) needs a lot of repair and we try to create a script that will check the 3D models we create in Rhino before they are used for FEA. Has someone implemented such a script to check a 3D model ? I am looking primarily to the gaps in the geometry, connectivity errors,…etc. Any help is highly appreciated…

Do you have a manual process that you repeatedly go through now to check and fix your model? That may help in figuring out what could be automated with a script.
